Nigeria provided all the positive numbers in pulling off this exhilarating victory in Rabat.
The Super Eagles’ shots were more on target (9-5) and had more attacks (108-102) based on team statistics after the match.

Nigeria advances to final, keeps World Cup bid alive
The win let Nigeria advance to the final playoff against DR Congo for the best runner-up spot in the CAF World Cup Qualifiers.
The Super Eagles seek their seventh World Cup but their first since 2018.
Eric Chelle’s side will need to win at the playoff final on November 17, 2025, to advance to the six-team intercontinental playoffs in March 2026.
Gabon has never played at the World Cup.
