FIFA gets a letter from several groups that expressed deep concern of the United States’ immigration policies as it co-hosts World Cup 2026.

Furthermore, football’s highest governing body received the letter signed by more than 80 civil rights and labor groups on Tuesday.

FIFA gets a “deep concern” letter from the groups, which reacted on President Donald Trump’s policies ahead of the World Cup.

Moreover, the groups urged FIFA to “use its influence to encourage the US government to guarantee the fundamental rights of the millions of foreign visitors and fans.”

Furthermore, they were reacting on Trump’s executive order that bans visitors from 12 countries to visit the US.

“(But) the FIFA brand will also be used as a public relations tool to whitewash the reputation of an increasingly authoritarian government,” the groups wrote.

Meanwhile, the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) continues to conduct raids in communities across the country.

FIFA insisted that the US welcomes foreign visitors to watch the World Cup 2026 in Atlanta and 10 other cities.

Furthermore, FIFA president Gianni Infantino gave the assurance in May.

Moreover, he noted that not only players from foreign teams are welcome to visit in the US for the World Cup.

This also goes to visiting fans as well.

“The world is welcome in America,” Infantino said in a May 15 interview.

“Of course, the players, our course, everyone involved, all of us, but definitely also all the fans,” he added.

VP VANCE REMINDS FOREIGN FANS TO SET TIME LIMIT ON US STAY DURING WORLD CUP

Vice-President JD Vance reminded foreigners to set a time limit on their US stay during the World Cup.

Moreover, he clarified that all football fans are welcome to cheer for their respective teams in the US.

Furthermore, the vice-president referred to US Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem as the official for visitors to watch if they overstay.

“I know we’ll have visitors probably from close to 100 countries,” Vance said in May.

“We want them to come, we want them to celebrate the game(s). But when the time is up, they’ll have to go home,” he added.
