PSG VS REAL MADRID MATCHUP A GOAL-FEST AS RUIZ, DEMBELE SCORE IN FIRST HALF

The PSG vs Real Madrid matchup became a goal-fest in the first half as Ruiz scored twice.

Dembele then added one before halftime.

Ruiz opened the scoring from a Dembele pass in the sixth minute.

That’s before Dembele himself scored three minutes later for a 2-0 PSG lead.

What’s more, Ruiz came back and converted an Achraf Hakimi play for his brace in the 24th minute for a 3-0 advantage.

Not only that, Ramos capped PSG’s amazing night with another goal three minutes from time.

“We made a perfect game and beat a top-level rival like Real Madrid in a great way,” Ruiz, who won player of the match honors, told DAZN.

ALONSO’S DEFENSIVE PLAN BACKFIRES, AS MADRID BURIED BEHIND PSG’S GOAL BARRAGE

Xabi Alonso’s defensive plan backfired, as Madrid was buried behind PSG’s aggressive goal barrage.

The Madrid manager used the four-man backline instead of its tested five-man defense.

This enabled the Parisians to take advantage.

Consequently, the suspension of defender Dean Huijen and the injury to Trent Alexander-Arnold gave Alonso not much of a choice.

“At the beginning, the setback was strong enough with a 2-0 down. We knew that the task was really tough,” Alonso told DAZN.

“At the moment, the feeling is not the best, but we’ll have to learn from today,” he added.

MBAPPE A NON-FACTOR AGAINST FORMER TEAM AS PSG DOMINATES LOS BLANCOS

Kylian Mbappe was a non-factor against his former team as the Los Blancos were no match to PSG throughout.

The 26-year-old French forward could not show up and make an impact for Madrid to the disappointment of some 77,542 fans at MetLife Stadium.

As a result, PSG moves on from its Club World Cup debut to the final.

The Blues defeated Fluminense, 2-0, on Joao Pedro’s brace in the other semifinal on Tuesday.

Yahoo! Sports predicted a 3-1 victory by PSG over Chelsea in the final.
