Madrid coach Xabi Alonso, meanwhile, assured his support to giving more playing time for Garcia despite Mbappe’s return.
Furthermore, the 43-year-old Spanish manager is aware Mbappe will continue to work his way around his match in the next few days.
Moreover, he cited his confidence in fielding Garcia along with Mbappe more.
Perhaps both will play in the last eight against Borussia Dortmund, a 2-1 winner over Monterrey also Tuesday.
“I wasn’t going to tell you that I expected him (Garcia) to score three goals in four games – I’m not going to go overboard,” Alonso told DAZN.
“But I did know he was going to wear down the center backs,” he added.
